Home > Amirani Contemporary

Amirani Contemporary wants to investigate aleatoric, unconventional and indeterminate composition procedures, their heroes and their adventures.
Taking the risky route of sailing through dynamic contrasts, tackling episodes of turbulence and tranquillity, Amirani Contemporary wants to surf silences and sparkling chromatic note cascades.
Amirani Contemporary nurtures a bold outlook on passages of great delicacy and braves hazardous balances on musics that keep alive our attention and fresh our feeling.

You can listen here Maestro’s quotes from his own voice and amazing interpretations of his works for piano and for clarinets by renowned artist as Gianni Lenoci and Rocco Parisi. Proponent of "open form" and graphic notation scoring long before his contemporaries, composer Sylvano Bussotti’s art path is enlighted by the most significant names of the contemporary scene.
Studies with Luigi Dallapiccola and Max Deutsch, meetings with Pierre Boulez Heinz-Klaus Metzger, Karl-Heinz Stockhausen, John Cage, avant-garde resarches in Darmstadt and compositions performed by seminal icons as David Tudor and legend Cathy Berberian, are merely few aspects of a complex and modern Renaissance artistic personality.
He is also a pianist, painter, writer, filmmaker, actor, illustrator, set designer, director, and costume designer for both theater and opera and his scores can be considered  flights of notational storms and works of visual art. His touch is live, ever surprising and unexpected, and his taste dances among different art declinations in a total creative synthesis gestures of the richest kind.
