Mario Mariotti

Born in 1985 he graduated in trumpet with the highest honors from the Conservatorio di Trento.  He improved earning a Master of Advanced Studies in Contemporary Music Performance and Interpretation at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana di Lugano in the class Gabriele Cassone. He attended courses with  trumpeters Marco Blaauw, Andrea Lucchi, Stephen Burns, Markus Stockhausen, Pasi Pirinen. In 2013 he received the Diploma of Second Prize at V Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Musicale per Giovani Musicisti - Città di Treviso and participated at the Trumpet Seminars at the Center for Advanced Musical Studies at Chosen Vale (Enfield, New Hampshire, USA ). He collaborates with the ensemble Sentieri Selvaggi of Milan, with FontanaMix Ensemble of Bologna, with the Orchestra of the Arena di Verona Foundation and the Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi of Milan. He played with the Ensemble 900 of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana and the French ensemble L'Instant Donné, with artists such as Paolo Damiani, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Walter Prati, Pietro Pirelli and with conductors such as Carlo Boccadoro, Francesco La Licata, Yoichi Sugiyama and Arturo Tamayo, performing in prestigious venues (including the Citè de la Musique di Strasburgo, Teatro Elfo Puccini di Milano, Auditorium di Milano, Sala Filarmonica di Rovereto, Teatro Rossi di Macerata, Biblioteca Laudense di Lodi, Auditorium di Spoleto, Palazzo Ducale di Venezia, Auditorium Stelio Molo della RSI di Lugano) and taking part in important festivals (among others La Via Lattea, Rassegna di Nuova Musica di Macerata, XXXV Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte di Montepulciano, festival Nuovi Orizzonti Sonori di Porretta Terme, Festival MiCo Musica Insieme Bologna, Musica in Giardino presso i Giardini Margherita di Piacenza). During the Stockhausen-Konzerten und -Kursen Kürten, in Germany, he was invited by the Ensemble für Intuitive Musik Weimar to collaborate for the realization of a concert with music by Karlheinz Stockhausen and subsequently publishes a record recording entirely dedicated to some pieces of Intuitive Music by the German composer taken from the series "Für Kommende Zeiten" (Siltaclassics label). He participated in the recording of two live albums for the label A Simple Lunch, settled in Bologna, with music by Flavio Testi (ensemble Sentieri Selvaggi) and Bruno Maderna (FontanaMix ensemble). He recorded the composition "Nocturne" for trumpet and electronics tape of Gabrio Taglietti contained in the collection "Nuove Musiche per Tromba Vol. 8" curated by Ivano Ascari. He is also a trumpet teacher.
